Blue Ridge was founded in 2018 by Nathan Henne, who had already spent nearly a decade in the industry. Nathan started in 2009 washing trucks and rose to foreman in less than two years. He learned the trade from the ground up —eventually managing crews on some of the biggest house-moving projects in the country.
After years on job sites, he saw how homeowners were often left frustrated by unknowns or stuck with short-term fixes. He saw an opportunity to bring a different type of service to the industry. In 2017 he stepped out on his own, and by 2018 Blue Ridge Hauling and Rigging was officially born — built on integrity, efficiency, and long-term thinking.
In 2023, Peter Hansen joined Blue Ridge bringing with him over 11 years of industry experience, much of it spent hands-on running a house-lifting and moving crew. His field knowledge, combined with experience in customer service, helps clients understand their options clearly and confidently.
